Thank you
I came in, even though things were running a little late I was notified and promptly seem. The providers are all familiar with my situation and always address the issues. Improvement has been slow but seem to be getting better.

This is the place to go for physical therapy if you want real results
My experience at NYDNR has been very positive. I’ve had many kinds of therapy for my condition (Achilles Tendonosis with calcification) over the years but nothing has even come close to the level of therapy that I am receiving now. They have all the latest equipment and techniques and they are extremely thorough. I like that not only do they focus on the target area but also the root cause of the problem and all body structures associated with it. Lots of correction and strengthening of muscles and systems are helping me to walk with much less pain. I’m very grateful to Dr Kalika and all the physical therapists and chiropractors that have helped me so far. The front desk staff here are always friendly, courteous and professional. The facility is always super clean & comfortable and easily reached via subway. I highly recommend NYDNR to anyone seeking quality physical therapy.

Out of all the physical therapists I’ve been to, these guys know they’re stuff. They can tell you all of the specific mechanical nuances of the body and why they need to stretch, glide, floss or whatever it is they do with your body. They all have keen eyes and can find the most seemingly insignificant thing that’s actually responsible for a much bigger problem. Very friendly, patient, and exceptionally educated staff.

This is a great choice for anyone needing physical therapy. The approach they take to remedy people’s medical... conditions are very deeply thought out. No “band aids” are used here. They get to the root cause of your problem and work on that with the goal being that not only are your conditions greatly improved or remedied but that they don’t return. They are very detailed and thorough. They have the latest equipment and techniques. Combine this with an amazingly kind and caring staff and you have your go to spot to get the help you need. I highly recommend them.read more

Friendly staff and responsive team. I do find it, however, very annoying that the reviews here are fake. If you sort by... the latest, you'll see review my people like "Emily Young"...what else did she review? Rockefeller Center, McDonalds, Times Square & Lego....if you sort reviews based on timing, click on reviewer, see their reviews and what they reviewed, you'll realize that reviews here are fake. - I am a continuing customer. I can’t afford to change doctors. If I reveal my full name, you will cut my neck nerves :(read more

I used NSAIDs and pain killers to treat my chronic knee pain but the results were temporary, and relapses occurred... again and again. My friend referred me to Dr. Lev Kalika at NYDNRehab, one of the best NYC physical therapists. At our initial meeting, Dr. Kalika conducted a clinical exam, analyzed my gait and prescribed a series of posture retraining sessions involving a special computer-assisted virtual environment. I adopted healthier movement patterns and got rid of my knee pain once and for all.read more

I recently took up wrestling as a recreational sport. Sometimes it's fun, and sometimes it's traumatic and painful. At... one point I got a back injury, and lengthy rehab kept me out of the ring, making me miss important fights. Even when everything seemed to be ok in everyday life, I experienced pain during my workouts and couldn't quite get back to my former level. I finally turned to NYDNRehab, a rehab clinic providing chiropractic therapy in NYC. Their DNS (dynamic neuromuscular stabilization) therapy and acupuncture worked wonders and solved my back problem. Thanks!read more

Frankly speaking, I never thought of chiropractic as a serious treatment method until my previous doctor said I needed... surgery to get rid of my chronic back pain. I felt depressed and decided to consider all alternative options before going under the knife. Happily, I found NYDNRehab, a clinic providing chiropractic care in Manhattan NYC. Their specialists designed an all-natural and non-invasive treatment plan specifically for me. It included manual therapy, massage, and spinal manipulation. As a result, I safely got rid of the problem without surgery.read more

I've been seeing Dr. Kalika and the DNS team for the past few months for severe neck pain. I went to multiple... Chiropractor's prior to my first visit at DNS, and the pain would not go away. The other practices I went too felt more like factories of getting you in the door and out the door in 20 minutes. The DNS team is very professional, friendly, accomodating to your needs and schedule. They spend a lot of time with you during each visit, and you don't feel rushed out of the office. Their office is well located in Midtown NYC, and they have a wide range of office hours. Dr. Kalika diagnosed the injury, which was due to years of wear and tear from HS & Collegiate sports and from years of poor postural habits from sitting all day in the office at my desk and during a long commute into NYC. He came up with a Pain relief & Rehab plan with different members of his team that included Chiro, Accupuncture, Dry Needling, Shockwave Therapy, and PT that focused on Deep Tissue Massage, ART, Stretching, Stabilization, and Stregthening exercises. My visits have been successful, and I'm progressing through PT to ensure I've corrected muscular imbalances and poor postural habits, so that this injury does not happen again in the future.read more

I have been struggling with ongoing back pain for a couple of years. Different traditional remedies brought slight or... no results. In addition, I developed an allergy to the strong meds I was taking so I had to stop. I started looking for a natural treatment through chiropractic care in NYC and I stumbled upon NYDNRehab. The next day, I went to their clinic in Midtown, was greeted by a friendly staff, and received an individual treatment plan that included massage, trigger point therapy, and mobilization therapy. A month after starting treatment, I feel great. My back pain has completely gone, thank God, and I am able to do all the things I love again.read more

NYDNRehab has state-of-the-art facility and equipment. The staff is made of true experts, incredibly competent in their... field and professional. Everyone is incredibly pleasant and helpful at any point in time. In spite of the normal hesitation people may have with the clinic being out-of-network, there's no better investment you can make for your health knowing you will get best-in-class treatment. Besides, the staff and doctors will often go above and beyond to help you further and accommodate specific needs you may have.read more

I used to think of chiropractic treatment as pseudo-medicine until I had debilitating back pain that my doctor treated... with pain pills. I worried about opioid addiction, and decided to try alternative treatment. The chiropractor at NYDNR used manual therapies and targeted exercises to help get rid of my back pain. I am completely off my pain meds, and my back pain is now a fading memory. I have completely changed my views on chiropractic care, and highly recommend it to anyone suffering from back pain.read more

Why do you come here. This is not a place you come to because you feel a slight twinge and you are looking for a... miracle. You come here because you are looking for a serious diagnosis and a thorough treatment plan. Everyone on the staff from top to bottom is extremely helpful. The people attending are religious because they are serious about getting better, and everyone treating you gives you their full attention when it is indeed your turn. They take their time to get to know you and all the pain points. Your level of diagnostics will depend on your severity of pain and location of pain. I was here for chronic lower back pain and after seeing various therapists of recommended and high quality looking locations, this is the first where I feel confident that the true issues are being addressed rather than just the symptoms.read more

Six months ago, I had acute pain in my knee. My doctor told me I would need surgery to treat it, but that seemed a bit... extreme to me, so I decided to do some research and get a second opinion. The physical therapy team at NYDNRehab assured me I only needed conservative treatment, and they were right. My knee is completely pain free, with no surgery or pain pills. Thanks for sparing me from an expensive and painful surgery!read more

In this instance, an athlete was originally diagnosed with minor quadriceps muscle strain and was treated for four weeks, with unsatisfactory results. When he came to our clinic, the muscle was not healing, and the patients’ muscle tissue had already begun to atrophy.

Upon examination using MSUS, we discovered that he had a full muscle thickness tear that had been overlooked by his previous provider. To mitigate damage and promote healing, surgery should have been performed immediately after the injury occurred. Because of misdiagnosis and inappropriate treatment, the patient now has permanent damage that cannot be corrected.

The most important advantage of Ultrasound over MRI imaging is its ability to zero in on the symptomatic region and obtain imaging, with active participation and feedback from the patient. Using dynamic MSUS, we can see what happens when patients contract their muscles, something that cannot be done with MRI. From a diagnostic perspective, this interaction is invaluable.

Dynamic ultrasonography examination demonstrating
the full thickness tear and already occurring muscle atrophy
due to misdiagnosis and not referring the patient
to proper diagnostic workup

Demonstration of how very small muscle defect is made and revealed
to be a complete tear with muscle contraction
under diagnostic sonography (not possible with MRI)

with large hematoma (blood)
