Be the First to Get 3D Running Analysis

with NYDNRehab

3D Gait Analysis

Running gait analysis is nothing new — it has been done in 2 dimensions for decades. But 3D analysis is a huge game-changer, leveraging sophisticated technology to let us collect quantitative data on running mechanics in three planes of motion. Until now, we could not visualize the transverse plane, where most running injuries occur. NYDNRehab is the only clinic in NYC to feature this cutting edge technology, so you can run faster, farther and more efficiently without pain or injury.

Thank you

I came in, even though things were running a little late I was notified and promptly seem. The providers are all familiar with my situation and always address the issues. Improvement has been slow but seem to be getting better.

Out of all the physical therapists I’ve been to, these guys know they’re stuff. They can tell you all of the specific mechanical nuances of the body and why they need to stretch, glide, floss or whatever it is they do with your body. They all have keen eyes and can find the most seemingly insignificant thing that’s actually responsible for a much bigger problem. Very friendly, patient, and exceptionally educated staff.

In this instance, an athlete was originally diagnosed with minor quadriceps muscle strain and was treated for four weeks, with unsatisfactory results. When he came to our clinic, the muscle was not healing, and the patients’ muscle tissue had already begun to atrophy.

Upon examination using MSUS, we discovered that he had a full muscle thickness tear that had been overlooked by his previous provider. To mitigate damage and promote healing, surgery should have been performed immediately after the injury occurred. Because of misdiagnosis and inappropriate treatment, the patient now has permanent damage that cannot be corrected.

The most important advantage of Ultrasound over MRI imaging is its ability to zero in on the symptomatic region and obtain imaging, with active participation and feedback from the patient. Using dynamic MSUS, we can see what happens when patients contract their muscles, something that cannot be done with MRI. From a diagnostic perspective, this interaction is invaluable.
