Approximately 2 million new causes are reported every year.  The plantar fascia is band-like flat ligament connecting the bone  of your heel to the toes, and walking stretches this ligament. Fasciitis is what medical professionals call a strain that causes the pain. Repeated stress or overuse of ligament is often the culprit of the pain.
